#KEREADY PODCAST HOST SEARCH

Terms & Conditions of Entry

1. Overview

The #Keready Podcast Host Search (“the Search”) invites young people to apply to become a host of the #Keready Podcast, a teen-led audio and video series produced by Keready. By entering the Search, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”).

2. Eligibility

To be considered, an entrant must:

  • Be aged 16 to 19 years old at the time of entry.
  • Not be registered to write Matric (Grade 12) final examinations in the relevant year.
  • Reside in Johannesburg, South Africa.
  • Be available for up to four (4) shoot sessions, held on weekends, each no longer than two (2) hours.

Keready reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet these criteria.

3. Parental / Guardian Consent

As entrants may be minors (under 18), a parent or legal guardian must be aware of and agree to the entrant’s participation before an entry is submitted. Keready may request written confirmation of parental/guardian consent as part of the selection process, and will require it before any shortlisted minor is confirmed as a host.

4. How to Enter

  • Nominate yourself, or tag a friend you believe would be a good fit, in the comments of the official call-out post.
  • Record a short video (no longer than 60 seconds) explaining why you would be a good fit to host the podcast.
  • Submit your video as a post in which you tag @Kereadysa and #Kereadypodcast

Note: tagging a friend is a suggestion only. It does not submit an entry on that person’s behalf, the nominated person must submit their own video and give their own consent to enter.

5. Submission Deadline

  • All entries must be received by 25 August 2026. Entries received after this date will not be considered.

6. Content & Conduct Guidelines

Entry videos should be respectful, age-appropriate, and reflect Keready’s values of honesty, dignity, and care for others. Keready reserves the right to remove or disqualify any entry that contains:

  • Hate speech, discrimination, or content that targets any individual or group.
  • Sexual, violent, or otherwise harmful content.
  • Personal information that could put the entrant or others at risk (e.g. addresses, school names combined with identifying details).

7. Selection Process

Shortlisting and final host selection will be conducted by the Keready team based on eligibility, authenticity, communication ability, and suitability for the podcast’s themes (identity, wellbeing, culture, and agency). Keready’s decision is final. Entrants who are not selected may be contacted about other opportunities to be involved with Keready, but this is not guaranteed.

8. Use of Submitted Content

By submitting an entry, you grant Keready permission to view, store, and, where an entrant is shortlisted or selected, share the submitted video (or excerpts of it) across Keready’s social media and communications channels for the purpose of the host search. Keready will not use an entrant’s submission for any other purpose without separate, specific consent.

9. Data Protection

Personal information submitted as part of an entry (such as name, age, contact details, and video content) will be used only for the purposes of running the Search and, where relevant, onboarding a selected host. Information will be handled in line with applicable South African data protection legislation and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

10. No Guarantee of Compensation

Participation in the Search, and selection as a host, does not automatically guarantee payment or compensation. Any gratuity, stipend, or benefit associated with the host role will be confirmed separately and in writing with selected hosts (and their parent/guardian, if a minor) before filming begins.

11. Withdrawal

Entrants may withdraw their entry at any time before final selection by contacting the Keready team. There is no penalty for withdrawing.

12. Changes to the Search

Keready reserves the right to amend these Terms, extend or shorten the entry period, or cancel the Search at its discretion, should circumstances require it. Any material changes will be communicated via Keready’s official social media channels.

13. Queries

For any questions about the Search or these Terms, please contact the Keready team info@keready.co.za
